Most motorhomes have aluminium side strips fixed with screws. These screws are then covered with rubber screw covers of various colours and sizes.
Laika motorhomes from the gold Ecovip series had the special feature of having these borders yellow screw cover which continued the design of the yellow stickers that decorated the entire vehicle.
Unfortunately, no other manufacturer used the yellow colour for these screw covers and even Laika itself abandoned it, so commercially impossible to find as it is a product used only on these vehicles.
Thus, owners of Laika Ecovip gold series motorhomes from the years 1993 to 2001 found themselves forced to use commercially available white or grey covers or find alternative solutions.
Often the alternative solutions consisted of purchasing coloured edgings for aluminium profiles, but unfortunately these do not even last a year as they are not made to withstand the sun and weather.
To solve this problem and help Laika Ecovip gold series motorhome enthusiasts, a buying group to produce 1000 metres of yellow beading.
Today you can order it on the page of the buying group or if you prefer on ebay.
Not all 1000 metres have actually been allocated and part of the yellow border is still available.
